I am in the pink!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
What can I say folks? It is kind of hard to put to words how it feels to be 60 years young, and suddenly I am redefining myself. On second thought, it isn't hard to put to words at all! In the words of one of my favorite childhood movies, I am sUpEr caLi fRaJiLiStIc eXpEeAlIdOcIoUs!!!!!!! :)
Now I am a pretty relaxed granny , as granny's go, however, weeks ago I sat down at my computer to check my emails and I saw a message written across the subject line from Bettie Youngs Books. It read as follows: We'll issue a contract to you on Saturday, call us at noon!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) I did what any normal granny would do. I calmly stood up and SCREEEEEEEEEEAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMGOSHHHHHHH!
With that said, my life has been rapidly changing. I feel like I need a GPS to direct me down all these new and exciting roads. Now, if my kids heard me saying that, they would be the first to tell you that their Mamala(that would me) is very challenged with modern technology........so GPS??????? Probably not!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Writing such fun stories and losing myself in Giggleville, USA, has just been terrific. That my friends, was just the beginning. If truth be told, my mind is getting a great work out. :) I have a whole new appreciation for all of my fellow authors. One of my best friends has been here setting up all kinds of social media for me. Teri is a great teacher. This kind of reminds me of learning how to knit. I got the hang of it and then dropped stitches and kept running back to get it fixed. That was a slow process but it all came together. Here I am doing what I love most. Writing to everyone via this blog, or shall I say typing to everyone of you!
It's been a long day of driving my FANTASTIC illustrator, Stephanie Smith, crazy, I am sure!!! I have only tweeked the cover for the book about 5 times in the past couple of days. :) Did I forget to mention everything must be in the publisher's hand in a matter of weeks! It will all be great though. :)
This has been the day of decisions. I decided while I am redefining my life, I decided to redefine my hair. The MAJOR decision of cutting my hair short, or not??? Decision, decisions, decisions! :) Well, I took a deep breath and went to my fantastic hairdresser, Brent and he magically redefined my head! Well, on the outside anyway! :) :) With less hair, I have more time to spend on my books. :)
It is time to go to sleep. I must say I am enjoying blogging. Certainly a little different than, Giggleville, or is it???????? Hmmmmmmm......
Nighty nite!!!! :)
I dedicate my children’s series to my
loving family that makes me
J feel good J
